Recruitment Process

With a mission of providing quality crews to our principals and establishing itself as a premier crew management organisation in the global scenario, ASP Crew Management maintains a recruitment  and training procedure by way of  comprehensive selection  through various verbal, written and computer-based evaluation and continuous risk assessment for recruitment and training of sea  and shore based staff.  We do this to build up a large pool of dedicated quality crews by emphasizing on efficiency, effectiveness, commitment and professionalism.

 

ASP Crew Management Australia Specific Process

Recruiting is an integral part of Crew Management’s mission to provide suitably qualified crews to our clients.

 We ensure that the best person for the job is selected by way of interviews, reference checks, inspection of qualifications and secondary interviews.

 ASP CM actively seeks the involvement of its clients in the recruiting and selection process, with senior officers interviews being attended by client representatives.

 ASP CM – Australia are also responsible for the recruitment of Deck Cadets, Engineer Cadets and Integrated Ratings as part of the group commitment to ongoing training and development within the Australian industry.

All applicants for the training positions are subjected to the same vigorous selection process employed for our qualified candidates. In addition selected trainee candidates undergo a familiarization voyage prior to any offers of employment being made where they are assessed for their suitability by our current crews.
